Adobe Media Player now features 15000 pieces of content and over 400 shows

Adobe System recently announced that their two month old media player now features 15,000 pieces of content with more than 400 shows provided from major broadcasters and content publishers.

Adobe media player is capable of providing high quality HD playback of streamed, downloaded, or locally stored video in the FLV format and also makes downloading of video outside the browser possible. As of now, majority of content has been added to their content network by MTV Networks. Users of Adobe media player can also subscribe to the popular shows of MTV.

Apple to sell movies on release date

In a recent news, Apple has announced that it will start selling movies from various movie studios and independant film companies on the same day as their DVD releases in the market. Apple is to sell the movies via their iTunes store for $14.99.

This is perhaps an exciting news for people from outside the Unites States, where the movies are released at a much later date after there release in USA. Now they could buy and download a movie as soon as the DVDs are out in the US or the international market. The movies can be viewed on video iPods, iPhones and personal computers. People who purchase a movie through iTunes can play it as many times as they like, just like a normal DVD.

Titles will be available from 20th Century Fox, Walt Disney Studios, Warner Bros., Paramount Pictures, Universal Studios Home Entertainment, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Lionsgate, Image Entertainment and First Look Studios.
