Ortery’s Photosimile 5000 – World’s First 3D Photocopier For $17,000

After initially surfacing in 2008, world’s first 3D photocopier from Ortery is finally here but for a price tag of $17000 USD. The 3D photocopier is capable of providing 3d replicas of whatever objects you place inside the copier. For instance, you could place a toy car inside the copier and produce a 3D replica in flash in just few minutes.

If you are wondering what makes this 3D copier so costly, here is a little bit of technical information for you. The copier has a Canon DSLR that takes 360-degree photos of the objects you place inside, four daylight bulbs each producing 6500K of illumination and there are totally 72 photos of the object taken to produce its 3D replica.

The photos taken by the photocopier are transferred to a PC by a USB and imported by Photosimile software for producing the 3D replicas. via
