MovieBook VDP400/500 HD PMPs from Viewsonic

viewsonic portable media players Viewsonic recently launched two new portable media player products that may help the company gain significant market share.

Viewsonic launched two new models, MovieBook VPD400 and Moviebook VPD500. Both these models offer HD playback via the video-out. The Moviebook models feature 4.3″ and 5″ 800×480 LCD displays respectively. A high-capacity 1900mAh battery will let you enjoy up to four hours of video playback or fifteen hours for music and thanks to its 8GB of internal memory and support for micro SD expansion slot, you can store a lot of videos and mp3s on this PMP.

The PMPs support some of the most popular video and audio formats that includes AVI, RMVB, FLV, MP3, WMA and WAV, APE and FLAC, and additional features such as a voice recorder, e-Book reader, integrated stereo speakers and a remote control.

The Viewesonic PMPs will be available in US and European market in October and could be in the price range of $150-$200.
