Waterproof Fanless PC from Stealth Computer

Stealth computer, a manufacturer of industrial rugged computers has released a waterproof and completely sealed computer model – WPC 500F. The computer has been made specially for the environment where ordinary computers can’t withstand the harsh conditions. The waterproof computer can survive liquids, chemicals, dust and meets IP67/NEMA 6 environmental specifications. If you are wondering how the CPU inside the completely sealed PC is cooled, there is an advanced heat pipe technology that takes care of this aspect and even the outer aluminum chassis helps in dissipating heat.

The WPC-500F is powered by Intel’s latest Atom processor, features power, video, serial and USB connections and special high performance hard disk drives that can withstand extreme handling conditions such as high vibration, high humidity, as well as high altitudes. An optional solid state hard drive (SSD) is also available for different applications of this PC. It’s compatiable with Microsoft XP/Vista and Linux and can be further customized based on the needs of end user.

Stealth PC is now booking orders for delivery of WPC-500F in early July, 2008 and the basic configuration model starts at $1995.00 USD.
