LaCie unveils new d2 blu-ray drive
LaCie recently unveiled a new external d2 blu-ray drive that offers upto 8x writing speed. The write speed is two times faster than LaCie’s previous blu-ray burner product in this category. The product comes along with Toast 9 Titanium software (blu-ray software) for backup of various data files. Also included is Easy Media Creator 10 for the authoring of blu-ray discs. Faster write speed will provide for less time to produce content on Blu-ray discs and specially those professionals in the video industry who produce a lot of content will now spend less time in writing data on disks.
The blu-ray drive from LaCie supports dual-layer BD media for upto 50GB of storage and many popular DVD and CD formats. The d2 Blu-ray drive is available for a suggested price of $449.99
