Universal Blu-ray player from Denon priced at $3,800
Denon’s universal Blu-ray DVD player for US market has been priced at $3,800, much lower than the public expectation. Although the price tag of $3,800 still looks very high to me, the player’s ability to handle standard DVD, Blu-ray DVD, SACD and DVD audio perhaps justify the price to certain extent. I would expect a player at such a high price tag to support connectivity to external hard disk drive, USB, ethernet and play almost every type of file that’s available to us as of today. Nevermind!

And for $3,800 price tag, the Denon Blu-ray player features SD/SDHC car slot, support for DivX format, HDMI 1.3, 1080p60/1080p24 output, DTS-HD/Dolby TrueHD decoding and 7.1 channel anlog output.
For those of you who might have already dared to think of adding this player to your wishlist, you should know that a PS3 can play SACD and Blu-ray also, and costs under $600 only.
