Gamers rejoice: New Alienware Gaming Notebook launched at just $1,399

Alienware has announced the launch of their new gaming notebook, the M17 that offers ATI CrossFireX technology with dual ATI mobility Radeon HD 3870 graphics controllers. The M17 gaming notebook can be customized to a great extent. It supports either a Intel Core 2 Duo or Intel Core 2 Extreme QX93000 processors, upto 4GB of DDR3 memory, upto two hard drives, gigabit ethernet and a 17-inch display sporting 1,920 by 1,200 pixel resolution.

The M17 gaming notebook sports hard drive capacity of upto 1TB. You could either use the entire 1TB of storage space or use RAID between the two 500GB hard disks. The M17 features up to 4GB of DDR3 memory for higher speeds and extreme multitasking. The optional internal TV tuner on the M17 lets you watch, record and save for later all your favorite TV shows and movies, including full HD programming. The M17 is designed for extreme entertainment. HD video and 3D games explode off the 17-inch LCD in Extreme High-Def 1200p resolutions.

The initial price of the M17 gaming notebook starts at $1,399 and goes upwards as you modify and add more components to the base configuration.
