Make yourself invisible with this invisible carpet
Not quite yet! The scientists from Imperial College (London) are attempting to create a material, using nanotechnology, that will be capable of hiding objects in the visible light. Can you imagine that? It’s something no cloaking material has ever been able to achieve so far.
According to the scientists, the invisible material will require structure that can channel the light in a specific way. And you guessed it right, that would require structures which are nanometers in size because as of now that seems to be the only way to channel the light in a specific way.
Oh, you ain’t getting it? What scientists are trying to achieve is create a material, or say a mirror, that instead of reflecting light will make light do a U turn - that means, light will exit in the same direction it entered.
