Buffalo launches 8x Blu-ray burning drives
Buffalo has unveiled two models of blue-ray drives. These drives will be available as either an internal SATA interface based drive or an external drive USB 2.0/eSATA interface based drive. Both of these drives support single layer 8x recording on BD-R and 2x recording on dual layer BD-R, BD-RE and LTH BD-R discs.
Both the drives support recording on DVD-RAM, DVD-RW, DVD±R DL, DVD+RW, DVD±R and CDs as well. The drives are expected to be launched next month and may be bundled with PowerDVD 7 software suite from Cyberlink. The drives could be available at a price tag of $380-$435, when launched.

I am waiting for the price to go down. 400$ is way too much.

Binny, it might take a while for the prices to come down. And, by the time that will happen, there will be a new technology in the market.
