LaCie’s Little Big Disk Quadra offers 1 TB

LaCie has launched a new model of its hard disk drive that features build-in RAID 0 (disk mirroring) and four interfaces - eSATA 3Gbits, FireWire 800, FireWire 400 and USB 2.0.

This product does not has a fan and uses its all-aluminum body to dissipates heat and make the entire hard drive less noisy. The maximum interface transfer rates this hard drive supports are as following:

• eSATA 3Gbits: up to 3Gbits/s (300MB/s)
• FireWire 800: up to 800Mbits/s (100MB/s)
• FireWire 400: up to 400Mbits/s (50MB/s)
• Hi-Speed USB 2.0: up to 480Mbits/s (60MB/s)

The product comes along with SilverKeeper for automatic backup & file verification, EMC® Retrospect® advanced backup & data restoration software, Retrospect Express, LaCie Setup Assistant and LaCie ‘1-Click’ Backup Software.

LaCie’s 1TB Little Big Disk Quadra is priced at $699.99 and will be available from July 1st week.
