HTC Touch Diamond: Another iPhone killer from HTC

HTC tries at it again. They launch a powerful version of their already very popular HTC Touch smartphone - Touch Diamond.

The new HTC Touch Diamond is powered by Windows Mobile® 6.1 Professional and features a new 3D touch interface called TouchFLO 3D that provides animated access to messaging, people, email, photos, music, weather and other features. In addition, HTC is also introducing a new touch-sensitive control for interacting with Touch Diamond.

On the Internet connectivity side, Touch Diamond boasts of broadband-like speeds with HSDPA 7.2 Mbps and HSUPA wireless connectivity. And to take your browsing experience to the next level, Touch Diamond has a new customized mobile web browser that enables easy viewing and effortless navigation of websites in the way they were designed. One can zoom and pan websites with one-hand and automatically view optimized content that has been specially created to fit the display. Turning the device sideways automatically rotates the web page view from a portrait to landscape view.

HTC has also developed a YouTube application for watching video content from YouTube as well as utilizing Google Maps for mobile for mapping and traffic data.

The small but incredible 2.8-inch VGA touch screen offers near-print quality resolution and the 3.2MP camera will silence those who had been criticizing the 2MP cameras on its earlier models.
