IP over Avian Carriers - Internet Protocol traffic by birds?
While looking for some information on Internet Protocol and IP addresses on Wikipedia, I found an interesting article that talks about a humorous proposal to carry Internet Protocol (IP) traffic by birds such as homing pigeons.
IP over Avian Carriers (IPoAC) was initially described in RFC 1149 and was released by Internet Engineering Task Force on April Fools day 1990.
Until today, I didn’t knew that IETF released RFCs on April Fools day and I believe there are several other RFCs released on April Fools day in different years.
