Manage Multiple Windows Systems Easily with BGInfo

How many times you have found yourself running through multiple commands to find critical system information such as its IP address, Hostname, CPU Information, Service Pack information and User Name? This is very annoying specially when you are in charge of system administration and work on multiple Windows systems to troubleshoot various problems such as slow PC performance related issues.

BGInfo is a small utility to help you find important information about a system within no time. As soon as it’s run, it prints the IP address, Hostname, CPU Information, Service Pack information and User Name on the desktop screen and exits. BGInfo also lets you create a configuration file that you can export and import on other systems that you can use to print the required information on the screen.

Other important settings that you can enable in the configuration file to display on the screen includes MAC Address, Memory, OS Version, Default Gateway, DHCP server, Free Space, Boot Time and there are many more options to choose from. BGInfo works on Windows 95+ and NT 4.0 onwards.
