NetPing is a free utility that is many steps ahead of the standard command line ping utility, found in Windows family of operating systems, in terms of features and functionality that it offers. The tool lets you perform custom actions on the computers that it shows. It also shows you the response time, uptime of computers and their operating systems. The functionality increases with more add-ins that you download and install.
You will have to provide the tool with a range of IPs to scan, it then displays all the systems found within the range specified and you can then perform custom action on them depending on the installed add-ons.
