How about calling yourself or someone in the future?
I always wanted a way to call myself or some one else on a future date to remind of an important event or something else but could not find a readily available solution to do it. With a free service from [Call the Future], we can schedule a call in the future to either yourself or someone else.
How does it work?
Fill up an online form on the site mentioning the phone number to call, enter the text message which will be read out to the receiver by a computer voice, then enter a phone number which will be displayed to the receiver as caller ID. Schedule a time for the computer to place your call and you are done! Note that the time at which a call will be placed is based on the time of the server running the site, so you may want to check the appropriate time before scheduling a call.
What can you do with this service?
There are many things you can use this free phone for and some of the most useful ones are:
- Call yourself to remind about an important event.
- Call someone else who is not reachable at this time and leave a message. Voice mail might be a better option but just in case.
- Schedule a call to yourself while you are in a meeting and pretend as if you received an emergency call and will have to leave the meeting
- Play pranks on your friends. How and what should you do is upto you
- You had some misunderstanding with your friend and he/she is not answering your calls. Use this service and enter some nice message to help clear the confusion.
What are the disadvantages of using this free service?
- It can be misused by entering wrong caller ID numbers.
- You can not use this service to dial a number beginning with 1, 800 or 555.
- It can be used for illegal activities.
- Harassing someone.
