Hello Clau,

What you said is absolutely right. I don't worry about comments anymore. My sole focus now is to write some quality articles and something that is helpful to people.

Have a good one :)

okay being a newby to blogging, I totally may have no base to what I'm saying, you decide. In Selma Hayak's "Frida", when asked by Frida 'what do you think?" (of her paintings), Diego is almost annoyed. "What d'you mean what do I think?" It doesn't matter what I or anyone else thinks. A writer writes because he can do nothing else but to write, a painter paints, because he has nothing else to do but paint." At that point Frida says, "No, i mean, am I good enough to paint and do it for a living?" I wanted to laugh. After I read I think you are laughing right with me. Blog for the love of the art, to heck with the advertising, don't worry about the comments. I actually came by to see if you replied to my comment when I stumbled on this article. Stay warm. --Clau

@udkl,
Good point. I have decreased the number of posts on the main page to show only 4 posts. Thanks for that!

Thank you for visiting and giving your suggestion.

Hello,
Got to tell you, when I visit a site, or a blog, its just the first three posts I read and that too sometimes. So why bother to increase the users bandwith by making him download stuff that he is never gonna read??

So, please trim down the posts on the main page to three or four. Long main pages is what people hate about blogs.

and hey,
Nice design.(I still have to read the articles, so will not comment)

Hey Binny,

Thank you for stopping by and supercharging me with your words of encouragement. Now that I am correctly aligned towards my goals, I hope to deliver my best every time I do it.

I visited your blog and see some interesting stuff there. Very nice. Have added your blog to my Netvibes, shall keep in touch.

Good luck :)

I totally agree with the points you have made. And don't worry about the lack of comments...

"In most online communities, 90% of users are lurkers who never contribute, 9% of users contribute a little, and 1% of users account for almost all the action."
http://www.useit.com/alertbox/participation_inequality.html

But sometimes you need someone to acknowledge your efforts - I understand the feeling. The best thing you could do is make a 'de-lurking post' - like I just did(http://binnyva.blogspot.com/2007/01/de-lurking-day-for-all-you-lurkers-out.html).

One more thing - I will try to post more comments here - just to keep you going. This is a good blog - I don't want to lose it.
