Camfrog is live web chat community with 1800+ chat rooms and an interesting user directory of more than 50,000 users. The features of this service is similar to that of the other familiar chatting services where you can create your own chat rooms, password protect it, add chat rooms to your favorites and do profile management. The primary feature of this chat service is its Video chat feature that allows you to join real streaming video chat rooms with audio and instant messaging adds onto that.

The interface is pretty boring, and in our opinion they can take a stab at it and make it look much better. Looks like folks at Camfrog tried their best to make the interface as clutter free as possible but still has lot of room for improvement.

Camfrog claims that their chat software allows multi-user video conferencing where you can join the chat with upto 1000 users. Of course, you will not see 1000 cam output on your screen but can always click on a user name to see what they are doing.

There is also a video chat software for your website that allows secured multi-user video conferencing on your pages. Since the web based software is not related to their chat room server software in anyway, you might think of setting up your business meetings or your own web community too.

» The best part: You don’t need a web cam to see people and chat with them. There are some chat rooms that don’t allow you to join them without a web cam though. But everything else seems to be pretty fun with Camfrog chat rooms at this time.
