How To: Change the MAC Address of Your Network Adapter in Windows

This small utility will be of a special help to those of us whose ISPs have locked their Internet connection to the MAC address of the network adapter of their primary computer. This prevents them from using the same Internet connection on their laptops or other systems. Occasionally, when your friend arrive at home with their laptops, they can not use your Internet connection because it is already locked to your network card’s MAC address.

This utility will change all that. It lets you change the MAC address of your card to whatever you like to and restore to original settings when you need to. Also, this tool can be effectively used to spoof mac address, which could be quite dangerous and I recommend that you do not change the mac address to that of a system on a public network.

I found this tool on Nishant’s website while searching Google for the registry keys to change the MAC address on my system. Below is a screen shot of the utility.
