Do you want to create your own games for Xbox 360 and Windows based PC’s?

Microsoft has released [XNA Game Studio Express 1.0] aiming at small and full time developers to create games for Xbox 360 and Windows based systems. This release of the studio uses new and optimized cross-platform gaming libraries based on .NET. The only limitation at this point is that you can create games only for Windows XP SP-2 based systems. Further support for Vista will be available with next release of this product somewhere next year. What’s more? If you have an active membership with XNA Creators Club – you can create, debug and play games on your Xbox 360 console.

System Requirements?

  • Operating System: Windows XP SP-2 [Only at this moment]
  • Graphics: A graphics card that supports DirectX 9.0c and Shader Model 1.1 or 2.0 is even better
  • .NET Framework version 1.1 is required if you want to use XACT tools for Audio authoring
  • Microsoft Visual C# 2005 Express Edition installation is a must before you install XNA Game Studio Express 1.0
